  3.  2qwk! 2.0 Installation

  6. Installing the 2qwk is now a simple three-step procedure:

  8.  1.0    Patching your file system
  9.  
  10.   A true implementation of QWK isn't possible within the confines of the
  11.   prodos file system. Fortunately this is an arbitrary limit and easily
  12.   overcome.
  13.  
  14.    a) launch qfix (wait for the prompt);
  15.       enter '/diskname/system' (where '/diskname' is your boot volume).
  16.  
  17.   Read the qfix documentation for more information on how to use qfix.

  19.  2.0    Restart
  20.  
  21.   This allows the newly modified file system to be loaded into memory.

  23.    b) launch prodos -or- reboot.

  25.  3.0    Installing the program
  26.  
  27.   Launching the install program will determine your machine configuration,
  28.   create the 2qwk! file, and then run it. This is a one time procedure and you
  29.   may delete the install program after it has run.
